Venus and Jupiter appeared low in the eastern sky at 4:15 a.m. CDT this morning as seen from the Chicago area. The pair continues to appear low in the eastern sky throughout the month. I was out early on the 3rd and saw them. I could not see Orion and Pleiades which I was trying to view for the first time in 3 months since they left the evening sky.
The Pleiades are above Jupiter. Orion is still in the sun’s morning glare. It’ll be easier to see in August.
