Morning Stars Venus and Jupiter are joined by the moon in this 30-second exposure made at 3:45 a.m. CDT from the Chicago area. Notice how the moon has moved eastward compared to yesterday. It is between Aldebaran, the brightest star in Taurus, and Zeta Tauri, one of the bull’s horns. Jupiter and Venus are visible in the eastern sky well into morning twilight during the predawn hours. Jupiter is near Aldebaran and the Hyades star cluster. The Pleaides star cluster is higher in the sky.
