Evening planets Mars and Saturn are low in the southwest this evening as seen in this 30-second exposure at 9:10 p.m. CDT as seen from the Chicago area. Mars is rapidly moving to the east compared to the background stars and slower moving Saturn. Mars is moving between Saturn and the star Spica, the brightest star in Virgo.
