Bright Jupiter and Mars shine from the eastern sky this morning at 5:10 a.m. CDT as seen from the Chicago area. (Click the image to see it larger.)  Jupiter is in front of the stars of Gemini with its twin stars Castor and Pollux.  Mars is in front of the dim stars of Cancer,  24 degrees to Jupiter’s lower left.  Procyon (Canis Minor) is also visible in this view.
