Bright Jupiter and Mars shine in the eastern sky this morning at 4:30 a.m. CDT as seen from the Chicago area.  (Click the image to see it larger.)  Jupiter is high in the eastern sky at this time among the stars of Gemini (Castor and Pollux).  Mars is quickly moving eastward compared to the starry background.  It is 42 degrees to the lower left of Jupiter among the stars of Leo with Regulus nearby, about 2 degrees to the upper right of the planet.
