Venus and Mars This Morning, December 11, 2015

Brilliant Venus gleams from the southeastern sky this morning.  Dimmer Mars is distinctly reddish, appears 20 degrees to the upper right of Venus.  In 10 days, Mars passes Spica.  This morning Mars is about 8 degrees to the upper right of the star.
