Venus in Taurus, April 9, 2020
2020, April 9: Venus is over 10° to the right of the bright star Aldebaran.

After unsettling weather during the day, the sky cleared this evening for a spectacular view of the sky without a bright moon. Venus gleams in the western sky in front of the stars of Taurus. Now past the Pleiades, Venus heads towards Elnath, one of the horns of the Bull, while bright Capella overlooks the scene. During the next month, watch Venus approach Elnath.


This evening Venus is over 10° to the right of the bright star Aldebaran, the eye of the Bull.
