Bright Evening Star Venus shines from near the Northern Horn of Taurus.
Just four days before its closest approach to Elnath (β), brilliant Venus gleams in the western sky this evening. The planet is 1.9° to the lower right of the star that marks the Northern Horn of Taurus. Watch Venus continue to close the gap, then make a big left turn and move away from the star.
