Mars and Saturn Tonight, June 22, 2012


Mars and Saturn are in the southwestern sky during summer evenings this year. This 30-second time exposure shows both planets at 10:30 p.m. on June 22, 2012 with the star Spica near Saturn and Denbola near Mars.

In a few nights the moon will pass both planets. See our update about when the moon appears nearby.
