Clear skies prevailed this evening from the Chicago area with brilliant Venus shining in the western sky with Regulus (Leo). (Click the image to see it larger.) Regulus is rapidly disappearing into evening twilight, heading for its solar conjunction next month.
Meanwhile Saturn shines in the southwestern sky near Spica (Virgo) and the brightest stars of Libra, Zubeneschamali and Zubenelgenubi. (Click the image to see it larger.)
