Brilliant Venus and Saturn lie low in the western sky after sunset this evening as seen from the Chicago area.  (Click on the image to see it larger.)  Look toward the western sky during evening twilight to see Venus.  Saturn lies about 27 degrees to the upper left of this brilliant planet.  On September 5, Venus passes Spica (Virgo), although the star is behind the trees in this view.
