Venus approaches Elnath, April 30, 2020
2020, April 30: Venus is 3.7° to the lower right of Elnath, the Northern Horn of Taurus.

This evening, brilliant Venus – shining near its peak brightness – continues its trek toward Elnath, the Northern Horn of Taurus. This evening the gap is 3.7°. Venus is to the lower right of the star.

The Bull’s Southern Horn – Zeta Tauri – is to the left of Venus.

Capella is the bright star to the upper right of Venus. It is the brightest in Auriga.

Venus passes closest to Elnath on May 10. Look each evening to see Venus closer to the star. For more details see this article.
