Mars shines in the eastern sky 53 degrees to the lower left of Jupiter. It is in front of the stars of Leo with its bright stars Regulus and Denebola. Mars is moving rapidly eastward as it passes Denebola later this month.
Orion with its bright stars Betelgeuse and Rigel, and Sirius shine in the southwest this morning. Procyon appears at the top of this image. It also appears in the image with Jupiter to show the position relationship between Jupiter and Orion.
