2018, January 26: Jupiter and Mars

Bright Morning Star Jupiter and Mars shine from the southern sky this morning.  The planets are 9.3 degrees apart.

Mars continues its eastward march, passing Antares on February 10.

Jupiter is now 5.3 degrees from Zubenelgenubi.  When Jupiter retrogrades it passes the star again in June.
