2020, April 9: The three planets are equally spaced along the ecliptic. Saturn is 5.7° from Jupiter and Mars.

 

The three bright morning planets shine from the southeast this morning. As Mars moves farther eastward, the three planets are equally spaced along the ecliptic. Saturn is 5.7° from Jupiter and Mars.

Mars continues to move away from Jupiter and Saturn, while Jupiter inches closer to Saturn for their Great Conjunction later this year.
