August 16, 2022: Sirius is making its first morning appearance before sunrise.  The gibbous moon is along an arc that includes the four bright morning planets, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.

August 15, 2022: Before sunrise, the bright gibbous moon is near bright Jupiter.  Mars nears the Pleaides star cluster.  Both are in a binocular field of view.

August 14, 2022: Saturn is at opposition today.  It rises in the southeast, appearing to move westward during the night.  Mars begins its approach to the Pleiades star cluster before sunrise.

August 6, 2022: Brilliant Venus is in conjunction with Pollux this morning. Venus joins, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn in the morning sky.  The evening moon is with the Scorpion, looking like it’s been eaten.
