August 29, 2022: Jupiter and Mars are easily visible during morning twilight.  Venus is low in the east-northeast.  The crescent moon returns to the evening sky.

August 27, 2022: Mars continues its eastward march through the bright stars in Taurus before sunrise.  Jupiter and Saturn are visible after the end of evening twilight.

August 25, 2022:  The thin crescent moon is near Venus this morning before daybreak.  Venus is joined by Mars and Jupiter in an arc across the morning sky. After sunset, Jupiter and Saturn are in the east.

August 24, 2022: The thin lunar crescent appears above Venus and below the Gemini Twins before sunrise.  Mars and Jupiter shine during the morning sky.  After sunset, Jupiter and Saturn are in the eastern sky.

2022, August 23: Earthshine on a Slender Crescent Moon, Venus and Sirius, Evening Planets

August 23, 2022: A slender crescent moon appears with the Gemini Twins.  Brilliant Venus and Sirius are in the eastern sky before sunrise.  Jupiter and Saturn are in the eastern sky after night falls.

2022, August 21: Gored Moon, Venus and Sirius, Evening Planet Pair

August 21, 2022: The moon seems caught between the Bull’s horns before sunrise.  Venus and Sirius are about the same height above the horizon during morning twilight.  Saturn and Jupiter are in the evening sky.

2022, August 20: Mars-Pleiades Conjunction, Last Call Morning Planet Parade

August 20, 2022: Today is the Mars-Pleiades conjunction. This is the last morning to see the four planets – Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn – parade together across the sky.  Saturn is disappearing in the west-southwest as Venus appears in the east-northeast.
